Media By Courtney
How It All Started
Following a near-homelessness experience, Courtney heeded her inner voice and pursued her passion of working in the media industry. She is a Media Director with experience overseeing large teams. Courtney is fueled by her passion of brand awareness, content strategy, and teamwork. Her life’s mission is to bring out the best in people.

Courtney has worked as an executive assistant for a Tokyo based producer. Interacting with more than 75 members of a 1,000-voice Japanese choir during their first U.S. tour was a high point. None of the choir members knew English, which helped Courtney develop her creative and interpersonal relations skills.

Courtney’s strong desire to give back and help others led her to start a mentoring program for high school and college students. Students in the program have gone on to receive jobs in the media field and to attend top graduate schools.
Courtney was the only female videographer for a local high school football team in her city. This paved the way for her be a part of community organizations and events. Courtney manages and produces social media content for a celebrity chef whose goal is to get families back to the dinner table.

In 2021, Courtney graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in Media Communications and will complete her Master's in Public Relations in 2023.
Among her career accolades, she was given the Rising Star award from Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 2014. Courtney was nominated for six out of seven categories during the Black Girls Film Camp Screening and Showcase. The short film, Color Blind, which she edited received Best Director and Viewer’s Choice Award. She served on the planning team as a part of the public relations team.
